Residential Garbage Collection. The City of Durham and the County of Durham have separate garbage policies. For city collection schedule call 560-1200. If you are a County resident, you must transport your residential garbage to one of the four Convenience Center Locations (Highway 55 and Alexander Dr. 560-0460, Redwood Rd and Electra Dr. 682-8200, Quail Roost Rd Ball Road 477-8552, Bill Poole Rd Highway 501 North 477-4325) or get service from a private collection company.
